Pack & Transport
Each piece of equipment is individually packed in anti-static material and stored in a computer crate or cage, depending upon size, packed out with foam.
For your most delicate and intricate equipment, primarily your servers, we also have developed the concept of using secure, specialist, flight-style cases. Our cases are built from reinforced, hardened plywood and lined with high-density foam for maximum protection. They have the added benefit of lockable wheels for smooth manoeuvrability that can be locked for added security. Similar cases to these are used for the transportation of musical instruments and equipment.
When packed, each piece of equipment is labelled on the outside of the packaging.
During relocation, manual handling is limited. Your servers are transferred directly from the rack to the flight case where they remain until recommision at the new location.
Your equipment is transported using special air-ride vehicles that provide cushioned transfer through their anti-shock inducing design.
Upon arrival, room destinations are signposted for ease of navigation. The receiving engineer will check each incoming item and its location against their inventory before unpacking it and identifying all the individual components. All packing materials, crates and cages will then be removed.
