Decommissioning
Following appropriate backup and data securing procedures, identified in earlier planning processes, our teams will be deployed to decommission your equipment.
Decommissioning prepares equipment for safe and secure transportation. We decommission both server/datacentre equipment, desktop and other technology items.
Firstly, all equipment is powered down. All power, data and network cables are then disconnected. Any dismantling required then takes place with all related items i.e. cables, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc. are packaged together. Related system equipment, including printers and scanners are also logged and identified at this stage.
We note configuration details, identify and label all connections in line with our audit data. Copies of this data accompany your equipment whilst in transit for prompt recommission at your new location.
The equipment is now ready of transportation via our vehicle network to your new site. Due to our explicit and rigorous procedure for documentation and identification, the receiving engineer is perfectly poised to commence a swift reinstallation.
